Ekotim in cooperation with the Ministry of physical planning, construction and environmental protection of Sarajevo Canton, Ekopak – the first licensed operator of the system for packaging waste management and COOR  marked,European Week for Waste Reduction.

On Wednesday 23.11.2016.g. will be organized an exhibition in the period 11:00 to 15:00 hours in the front of the BBI center that will remind our fellow citizens about the importance and ways to reduce waste in their households. It will be divided appropriate information material, and the citizens who use plastic bags will have the ability to replace them for the string bag and thus reduce the amount of waste. At the exhibition will be shown examples of waste reduction, recycling and re-utilization, as well as the attitude of citizens towards the environment in the Sarajevo Canton. It will be placed in appropriate containers which citizens will be able to lay down different types of packaging waste, and Ekopak will ensure that the waste ends up in recycling.

In addition to these actions, Ekopak and Ekotim plan to distribute in early December a string bag for separate disposal of waste in the household, so that the citizens in the settlements where Ekopak set up the infrastructure, ie. appropriate containers for separate waste collection easier sort in households and thus reduce the amount of waste which will be disposed daily at the landfill Smiljevici.
